# Accepted IDs for KYB

> Learn which identification documents are accepted for Know Your Business (KYB) verification.

## Overview

All individuals establishing accounts with Spring must complete the KYB (Know Your Business) verification process during onboarding. This includes identity verification and background screening.

## Requirements for Platform Access

To gain access, customers must:

1. Upload a **valid ID**
2. Take a **selfie** to verify your identity

## Accepted Identification Documents

Customers are required to use a **valid international passport** for the KYB process.

### Exception for European Residents

Residents of the following European countries may alternatively use their national identification cards:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
